The re-use and recycling of grey water is encouraged throughout the Garden City to promote sustainable living.

Careful consideration is required around the placement and aesthetic appearance of grey water recycling/harvesting systems. The following principles should be addressed:

• Design of the system should be complement the character of the hosting building.
• Volume and area of the storage should not dominate the existing building
• Water butts to be positioned out of sight of the street or suitably screened.
