The proposal and integration of advertising to externals of an Estate Management property will be resisted and only granted in exceptional circumstances.
Sale boards for home will not require an application to be submitted subject to them being removed once the property has been sold.
Should an application be submitted for advertising, the following principles should be followed.
- Advertising attached to a façade of a residential property could be considered acceptable subject to the location, size and design. A clear justification and approach to the detailing of advertising should be provided as part of the Estate Management Application.
- Advertising which is illuminated would not be accepted.
- Scale and size of advertising would need to be in proportion to the property and streetscene. Its location should not dominate or detract from the host property’s architectural character.
- Temporary advertising would require Estate Management consent.
