Large Climbing Frames
Policy EM2 – Erection of New Buildings
Large climbing frames, tree houses and other play structures will require consent.
The location of the features should be considered to ensure the structures cannot be seen from a public vantage point. The height and access to higher levels of the structures must also be considered where this can cause privacy concerns for neighbours and this would not be accepted.
- Design of features must respect the size of the garden, proximity of boundaries and impacts to neighbouring properties including privacy, overbearing and loss of day/sun/skylight.
- Materials must be appropriate and will be expected to be timber. Plastic and garish colours will not be accepted.
Please seek advice from the Estate Management team before erecting such features.
